Winnier of both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award, ERIK H. ERIKSON is one of the leading figures in the field of psychoanalysis and human development. His clinical practice has included the treatment of children, and he has studied the process of growing up in a variety of cultural and social settings. He has also been a training analyst for many years. He was on the Senior Staff of the Austen Riggs Center; has participated in the researches of the Harvard Psychological Clinic, the Yale Insitute of Human Relations, the Institute of Child Welfare at the University of California, and the Western Psychiatric Institute in Pittsburgh; and has been Professor of Human Development and Lectures on Psychiatry at Harvard. His book are Young Man Luther, Insight and Responsability, Identity: Youth and Crisis, Gandhi's Truth, Dimensions of a New Identity, and Toys and Reason.
